Lost In Loss

Lost in Loss was my final endeavour as a student filmmaker. It’s a short film that helped secure my 1st class degree in BA Hons Film Production. This film won the North West, Royal Television Society Award for best short film, which Director Jake River Parker and I received in 2018. As the Cinematographer on this project I was also fortunate to win the National Royal Television Society Award for best Under-Grad Camera Work, which I received at the BFI in London. The film follows a very gritty social realist narrative. It explores the impact a Father’s PTSD can have on his relationship with his son. Jake and I spent many months in preparation for this film researching the touching subject matter from first hand accounts. This film is emotional and expressive and holds great sentiment with me as one of my proudest pieces of work.
